                               Cellular Therapy
Duties and Responsibilities: In cell therapy, live or frozen-dried cells or pieces of cells from healthy organs, fetuses, or embryos of animals such as sheep or cows are injected into patients. That is supposed to repair cellular damage and heal sick or failing organs. It is promoted as an alternative therapy for cancer, arthritis, heart disease, Down syndrome, and Parkinson disease. Cell therapy is also marketed for anti-aging, reverse degenerative diseases, improve general health, increase vitality and stamina, and even enhance sexual functions. Some practitioners have proposed to use it to treat AIDS patients.
Salary: $46,000
Education: In order to become a cellular therapist, you must have a relevant college degree and or applicable experience in clinical laboratory, hematology, blood banking, and or immunology. Also at least 4-6 years of industry experience required (Biological Manufacturing.) A current medical technologist license may be required. Experience working with adherent cell culture is required.


Reflection: I wouldn’t want to be a cellular therapist because I’m afraid of needles. Also I don’t want a difficult job like this one. It pays well but it’s a hard job and you need a lot of experience.
