Dental Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: Dental assistants can have a lot of duties like patient care, office, and laboratory duties. They work directly with patients making them the most comfortable in their dentist chair and or preparing them for treatment. They also schedule appointments, confirm them, send bills, receive patients, keep records of their patient’s treatments, etc. They also work with dentist handing them materials they need and also by keeping the patients mouth dry.
Salary: $ 27,248
Education: To become a dental assistant you must complete two years in school, you must be trained in dental assisting programs which are offered by community colleges, junior colleges, trade schools, technical institutes, and or the armed forces. No matter how you are trained, in order to actually become a dental assistant, you must take the Certified Dental Assistant Exam offered by the Dental Assisting National Board. Since dental assistants are the dentists third hand, they look for a reliable person someone who they can trust.

Reflection: I think I would like this job because it’s an easy job that pays well. Also the educational requirements are easy and anyone who really puts their mind to trying to become a dental assistant can become one.
