Anesthesiologist
Duties and
responsibilities: An anesthesiologist is a physician who administrates pain
killing gas or injections during operational procedures. This can include a
variety of drugs and levels of anesthesia from local numbing agent to general anesthesia
where the patient is rendered completely unconscious for the duration of the
surgery.
Salary:
$427,956
Education: 1. Undergraduate Degree – about 4 years of college
2. Medical Degree – about 4
years of medical school (M.D. or D.O)
3. Residency training – 4 years
of post-graduate training
Reflection: I would want to be an anesthesiologist
because it looks like it is an easy job and it looks like fun. You really don’t
do a lot just measure the amount of anesthesia the patient needs regarding what
pain they have or if they have to go through a surgery. It may take a long time
to be an anesthesiologist but they get paid well.
