Reflection:
I think what this quote is saying is that if in the past you did
something good and you want to continue doing well you must do better to keep
on living good.
Duties and
Responsibilities: Reflexology is also known as zone therapy. It is another form
of treatment involving the application of pressure to different parts of the
body in order to improve the general health. Reflexologists are professionals
skilled in this natural art of healing. They treat patients by massaging their
feet, hands, and ears to relieve them of stress, and improve circulation to the
related body areas. The entire method of treatment is based on the principle
that certain reflex zones in the body correspond to different body parts.
Reflection: What this
quote is saying is that if we choose to do the right thing we won’t get in trouble
and won’t feel guilty for anything and we’ll be happy for all eternity. If we
choose to do wrong we may have serious consequences like jail or not having the
privileges that people that do the right things have and maybe those consequences
may follow you for all eternity.
Duties and Responsibilities: A teacher’s
assistant is someone who helps students and gives them additional attention and
instructions that works under teacher supervision. They are also there to help
the kids with any questions and show them that they care.jpg)
President’s
day is an American holiday that is celebrated on the third Monday of February.
This day is a holiday because it is Washington’s Birthday. It was traditionally
on the 22th of February but it was changed as part
of an act of the Uniform’s Monday Holiday Act in 1971 to give more three day
weekends to the national workers. It is usually a holiday to celebrate all of
the past presidents of America not just Washington. A few ways to show honor
and respect on President’s day is by using patriotic colors and showing the
American spirit we have and show that we are thankful for our past presidents
and our country..jpg)
Basketball
was first invented in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts by the Canadian, James
Naismith. Its purpose was to condition and keep young children active during
the winter. He divided his class of 18 into 2 teams of 9. He used peach baskets
as the basket and a soccer styled ball to play.
The objective of the game was to get the ball into the peach baskets
that were nailed to the lower rail of a gym balcony. He made 12 rule; some of
them are, “the ball may be thrown in any directions with one or both hands, a
player cannot run with the ball the player must throw the ball from the spot in
which they caught it, if either side made 3 consecutive fouls it shall count a
goal for the opponent,” and many more other rules. The first game was played on
December 21, 1891 and it was played by his class of 18 and they played in the
Armory street court. The first public game was played on March 11, 1892 in
Springfield, Massachusetts. It was played in a YMCA and about 200 people were
there to witness it. Some differences that basketball has had from the old game
and the modern game was that they played with baskets without a hole on the
bottom and they had to take out the ball manually, now we have a net with a
hole on the bottom, back then they used to play 5 players per team now it’s 9,
they used a soccer ball and now we use a real basketball, and many other
differences. In 1898 the first professional league was founded by 6 teams. It
was called the National Basketball League; the first champions were the Trenton
Nationals, followed by The New York Wanderers, The Bristol Pile Drivers, and
the Camden Electrics. Now a days basketball is played everywhere in schools,
colleges, at home and it’s a fun way of exercising.
