Environmental Health Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: An environmental specialist is someone who inspects environmental health systems to make sure they are in agreement with the local, state, and federal regulations. Some of their duties include reviewing permits, collecting and interpreting data, investigating complaints, monitoring, educating, performing inspections, and renewing or revoking licenses.

Salary: $36,310 - $ 102,610

Education: In order to become a health specialist you must earn a Bachelor’s degree, complete an internship or training, gain experience, and pursue a Master’s degree.

Reflection: I would like to become an EHS because it seems like an easy job that pays well and you are helping the community by inspecting that places are clean and safe for people.
